Farewell

It is with great sadness that CCRS passes on the news of the death of Maj (Retd) George Garman who passed away suddenly on 12 April 2025. George had a great passion for clay target shooting and was heavily involved with promoting clay target shooting within the Cadets and the Regular and Reserve Army. He created and ran both the National CFAV and Cadet Clay Target Shoots for many years. Over the years, hundreds of personnel, both young and old, have benefitted from his guidance and passion for the sport. In more recent years, even when mobility became an issue, George would use a buggy so he could continue to provide support and guidance to new and experienced shooters alike.
